Nursery AM Session
Monday – Friday: 8:50am – 11:45am

Nursery (30 Hours)
Monday – Thursday: 8:50am – 3:30pm
Friday: 8:50am – 11:45am

Nursery (Full-Time)
Monday – Friday: 8:50am – 3:30pm
Please note: The Friday afternoon session is chargeable to parents.

Reception to Year 6
Monday – Friday: 8:50am – 3:30pm

The School Day at Coppermill

The school day begins promptly at 8:50am. Gates open from 8:40am, and children should be ready to enter their classrooms when doors open at 8:50am.

Punctuality is essential—it helps children feel settled and ensures they don’t miss vital learning at the start of the day. We appreciate your support in getting your child(ren) to school on time.

Breaks and Lunchtime

• Key Stage 1 (Years 1–2): 20-minute morning and afternoon breaks, plus a 1-hour lunch break
  
  

• Key Stage 2 (Years 3–6): Morning break, 1-hour lunch break, and a short afternoon 'brain break' as needed
  
  

• Nursery & Reception: Continuous access to outdoor space throughout the day as part of our early years provision.
  
  

Snacks and Water
As part of a Department for Education scheme, all children in EYFS and KS1 receive a free piece of fruit daily. Children are also welcome to bring a healthy snack from home to enjoy during morning break. We encourage all children to bring a refillable water bottle, which they can access throughout the day.

End of the Day
Please ensure children are collected on time. Being left behind when others have gone home can be distressing. If you are running late, please contact the school office so we can reassure your child that you are on your way.
